Zarges C-Series Battery Case-40582

The C-Series Battery Case-40582 is a high-performance, fire-resistant aluminum container engineered for the safe transport and storage of lithium-ion batteries. Built inside a K470-40849, it features a robust outer shell and an advanced interior lining (Cirrux) designed to mitigate thermal runaway and contain any potential failures internally, preventing spread of fire or flame to adjacent cells.

What level of IP protection do Zarges containers provide?

Zarges containers offer varying degrees of impermeability, designated by IP protection categories. For instance, the K470 series provides protection against water spray (IP 54), while other models like the Mitraset or K470 IP 65 offer protection against water jets (IP 65). Some containers are even immersion-proof or moisture vapor-proof (IP 67). 

Are Zarges cases lockable?

Yes, Zarges cases are lockable. Models like the K470, K424 XC, and K475 can be secured with a 6 mm shackle lock or a 3 mm seal wire. Additionally, Zarges offers TSA-approved shackle locks with a 3-digit combination, allowing TSA agents to open them without causing damage.

What temperature ranges can Zarges cases withstand?

Zarges cases are rated to operate in extreme temperatures, ranging from -112°F to 302°F, ensuring durability in various environments.

Can Zarges cases be carried on airplanes?

Yes, Zarges cases are ATA 300 certified, and many are available in sizes suitable for carry-on luggage. However, please note that battery applications may be an exception.
